Shibataea kumasaca is another hardy runner growing only 1 to 2 feet tall. It requires moist acid soil and partial shade. This bamboo will dry out and show brown edges on its leaves if not kept constantly moist. When grown correctly, it is a beautiful bamboo for cooler climates.
